Spring – Stage 2: Skill Builders

Grades 2-8

We’re offering two sessions of our popular Stage 2: Skill Builders program to give our students in grades 2-8 as many opportunities to get on stage as possible. Both programs feature the same content and show, so we’re excited to have a whole extra group of Skill Builders join us this year!

Skill Builders is a program that seeks to build up students in grades 2-8 in several different aspects of performance, no matter their skill or training level. A strong focus on helping students develop concrete skills as singers, actors, and dancers helps prepare for a performance at the end of the session. Students will learn in a large group setting as well as smaller classes broken up by age group.

Director

Sam Heath (she/her) is a graduate of The University of Guelph Bachelor of Arts Honours Theatre Studies program and is ecstatic to share her education and theatre experience with the next generation of performers. She has worked within Theatre Ancaster’s youth programming for over five years after being in many productions herself. Sam continues to pursue theatrical arts in all aspects. Sam’s goal within this program is to ensure that every person has a moment to shine onstage and to grow both as a performer and a human being. She believes theatre is a place where we can all belong and explore who we are through creativity and develop friendships that can last a lifetime.
