Shining Stars

Lindsay Jones – July 2024

Lindsay Jones with Nielsen Award

Lindsay Jones

Lindsay Jones is also the 2024 recipient of Theatre Ancaster’s John Nielsen Award. Lindsay has lovingly added her touch, and a bit of sparkle, to so many of our productions since she joined Theatre Ancaster in 2011, appearing in our production of AIDA.

Aside from appearing onstage, she is an active member of the company, taking on roles such as directing, hair & makeup, stage managing, sitting on the Board of Directors, and taking care of the countless behind-the-scenes tasks that keep a busy theatre company moving. As one of our marketing coordinators, Lindsay is also the smiling face behind the camera as she creatively captures all aspects of our company and shares it with the community on our social media platforms.

Not only does Lindsay do the work, she does it with a people-first approach that is kind, warm, and welcoming. She goes above and beyond to ensure that everyone who is a part of Theatre Ancaster has a positive experience. Those that work with her all agree Lindsay makes those around her feel respected, valued, and important.

Lindsay recently directed our Fall 2023 Mainstage Production of Legally Blonde, which was a smash hit with our audiences. Creatively and passionately directed, Legally Blonde was a marathon of high-energy, pink, glittery goodness — a lot like Lindsay herself! The production was also an undeniable success for our company because of the positive experience that Lindsay facilitated for the cast and production team members.

“It was an inspiration to work so closely with Lindsay on this show, which was so close to Lindsay’s heart,” says Producer of Legally Blonde, Laura Bottrell. “Lindsay pours countless hours into her work and is one of the hardest-working people I know. I’m constantly amazed by her level of care towards the success of the company and of each individual within it.”

There is an opportunity for everyone to growdelight, and shine here at Theatre Ancaster, and in large part, it’s because of people like Lindsay Jones.
