COVID-19 UPDATE January 4, 2022

In compliance with local public health guidelines and government directives, all Theatre Ancaster programming is temporarily suspended. We will keep all participants informed as directives continue to evolve. We aim to resume operations as soon as it is safe to do so.

Theatre Ancaster COVID-19 Vaccination Policy

As of January 1, 2022, before admission to, or participation in, any Theatre Ancaster event all eligible employees, staff, contractors, volunteers and students aged 12+ will be expected to complete a pre-screen, and provide one of the following:

  1. Proof of full vaccination
  2. A valid medical exemption plus a negative rapid test or PCR test result dated in the last 24 hours

In order to allow sufficient time for full vaccination, until March 1, 2022, children ages 5+ are exempt from this policy, however, after this time, all participants, including those ages 5+ are subject to this policy.

As the pandemic evolves, and/or legislation or public health guidance changes, the purpose and requirements outlined in this policy may change. Theatre Ancaster reserves the right to update this policy, and will provide reasonable notice to any changes therein.

The full Theatre Ancaster COVID-19 Vaccination Policy is available here.

We thank you for your patience and wish everyone a safe and healthy 2022.

COVID-19 UPDATE August 24, 2021

The team at Theatre Ancaster is very excited to bring our Youth Programs back for Fall 2021!

In accordance with provincial guidelines we have officially launched registration for our Youth Programming.

To maintain the safety of our members, program sizes have been reduced to follow the provincial guidelines, and some programs have been shifted in the calendar to offer us more flexibility for enrollment, rehearsal space, and performance space. More details are available on the youth program pages.

Our plan is to run our programs as fully as possible. It is feasible that Ontario's guidelines will once again affect the availability of our programming. In that case, we will notify all participants immediately.

The following programs will be accepting registrations beginning August 29 and launching immediately in September:

The following programs accept registrations by application. Because of Ontario's current limits on the number of people who can gather indoors, we will be taking applications starting August 29 but we will not be offering acceptances until later in the year as we see restrictions lifted. We want to ensure that we do not have to take back any acceptances due to restrictions. We will not take any payment until students have been accepted into the program.

Program Viability Announcements will be made concerning Fall 2021 as soon as information is available from health and government sources.
