Auditions - Theatre Ancaster’s Fall 2018
Theatre Ancaster is proud to announce upcoming auditions for its major Fall production Chicago – the longest running American musical in Broadway history and winner of six Tony Awards!
Chicago is presented by special arrangement with SAMUEL FRENCH, INC.
Vocal and Dance Auditions
All auditions will be held at the [former] Ancaster Memorial School Building, 357 Wilson St. E, Ancaster, ON L9G 2C1
There is no access from Wilson Street - you must enter at the rear of the building via Sulphur Springs Road and Queen St.
Chicago is very “dance heavy”. Consequently, all vocal auditionees are required to attend the dance audition.
Tuesday, May 1 from 7-10 pm FULL
Friday, May 4 from 7-10 pm FULL
Saturday, May 5 from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
By appointment or drop-in. To reserve an audition time and for further information, please contact Bob Carle at email@example.com. If you attend an audition without booking a time, you may have to wait until there is a free segment available (usually at the end of the evening) or have to make arrangements to attend on another day.
Please come 15 minutes early for your audition to allow time to register. We will be recording your vocal audition.
It will be helpful if you would bring a recent resume with you.
Wednesday, May 2 from 7-10 pm FULL
Tuesday, May 8 from 7-10 pm
Please arrive before 7 pm as the auditionees will work in one group to learn the choreography, and then break into separate groups for their audition during the evening.
Auditionees will be contacted via email or phone if requested to attend a call back. Call backs will include additional song requirements and scene reading, which will be provided via email.
Sunday, May 6, from 1-4 pm
Monday, May 7 from 7-10 pm
All casting decisions will be made within two weeks of call backs. You will be notified by phone call or email if we can’t get in touch by phone first.
**By accepting a part in Chicago, you agree not to participate in other theatre projects that will interfere with your ability to attend rehearsals and performances of shows.**
