About Theatre Ancaster

Our Season 2015-2016 Season

Nunsense, The Producers, Peter Pan Jr,  Spamalot and Vegas are five of the great productions guaranteed to entertain you and your family in 2015-2016.

Theatre Ancaster continues its second decade of community musical theatre in September with Nunsense opening Sept 11 at the Old Firehall Arts Centre and follows that in November and December with the Tony Award winning monster Broadway comedy hit The Producers opening Nov 20 on the Main Stage. Then comes our Christmas shows for children and adults on Dec 14 at the beautiful Ancaster Old Town Hall followed by Christmas concerts by our 35 member SATB Theatre Ancaster Chorus on December Dec 18 and 19.

At the end of January, our Junior Broadway Company presents Peter Pan Jr.. on the Main Stage.  In February, Theatre Ancaster teams with Roger Girard and his great horn band Splendour in the Brass once again to host our Annual Valentine concerts Love Notes...With a Twist at The Old Firehall Arts Centre Feb 13 and 14.  In late February our Stage 3 Young Company of teen actors presents Monty Python’s Spamalot with all its zany stories and songs on our Main Stage.

In April, our high energy fast-paced blockbuster musical revue Vegas hits the Main Stage.  In May, the Theatre Ancaster Chorus is back, and in late May and June, we complete our season with the Art Smart production (TBA) playing to 7000 students in a series of student matinees plus public performances for our adult fans. By then it’s summer camp time with camps, programs and performances for young people from 3-16.

It’s a busy year once again, with some 200 plus community volunteers, sponsors and program leaders involved. We thank everyone who adds their leadership, creativity and support to what we do. .

Thank you to our Community of Supporters

We want to take this opportunity to thank our patrons and sponsors for their support over the years, as well as our casts and crews, and our families and friends.  It’s been wonderful for all involved and appreciative of the key role the arts paly in our lives and community.
